Software Engineer , Front End
As Software Engineer, Front End, you will design and develop software for a next-generation Visual Analytics and Collaboration suite. You will be focused on building innovative technology for serving highly interactive analytic experiences for analyzing large data. You will be challenged to leverage your creativity and experience to create new products that extend customer ability to see, understand, and "reach out and touch" their large data sets in real time. The position will provide many interesting, hard-core technical challenges and as much responsibility as you can handle. You will be responsible for the development of client-side (and occasionally server-side) features of software in the visual analytics and collaborative data analysis space. You will be constantly challenged to leverage your creativity and your technical prowess to satisfy customers and extend their ability to see, understand, and "reach out and touch" their data.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
+ Design and implement features in a web-based analytical product.
+ Participate in the evolution of the system architecture.
+ Author automated tests (unit test and black box tests)
+ Work with customers, support, and QA to resolve bugs and support issues.
+ Review and provide detailed feedback on documentation and test plans for features.
+ Other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Experience
+ Knowledge of Web technologies, development tools, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
+ Experience with object-oriented languages, Java and/or C++ preferred.
+ Experience in developing rich, interactive user experiences.
+ Knowledge of relational databases and data warehousing a plus.
+ Familiarity with the development of large-scale web applications a plus.
+ Ability to work well independently, or as part of a team
Qualifications
+ BSCS or equivalent
Working Conditions
+ Location: Seattle, WA or Kirkland, WA or San Mateo, CA
+ Working conditions are normal for an office environment
+ Ability to sit for moderate periods of time working on a computer
+ Ability to wear telephone headset
+ Occasional travel may be required
