We seek a senior software developer for our silicon valley client, an established global provider of highly sophisticated communication interception solutions in the cyber security market. This is a customer facing role as well as a highly technical individual contributor. Reporting to the Vice President, you will help resolve design issues, own product releases and work with globally located developers.
This person will be an individual contributor and project leader, being responsible for the product´s GUI development, contribute to definition and management of the platform and associated solution components. This is a hands-on position requiring exposure to the full software development life cycle, writing functional specs, design documents, code, unit testing, setting up lab equipment for tests, etc.
7+ years experience
Delivered product that is running at customers sites.
Writing Functional Specifications; demonstrated ability to understand large software infrastructure and architecture, complex designs, design methodologies, superior coding standards.
Solid experience with C++ programming – GWT, J2EE, or Java Swing classes desirable. Strong multi-thread capability required.
Unix/Solaris system development: Interprocess communication: sockets, pipes, shared memory Multithreading: thread start/finish, mutexes, condition variables (in C++ and Java).
Experience with MySQL databases, SQL queries and Procedures
Familiarity with software configuration management tools such as ClearCase
Familiarity with software development environments such as Eclipse
Must be a U.S. Citiizen
