The Senior Software Engineer, Applications --- is responsible for the design and development of customer-facing applications. This individual should be an experienced engineer who has developed usable, responsive Ruby-on-Rails applications that are recognized best in class. Experience with RoR UI frameworks and a broad set of Ruby tools and gems is desired as well as knowledge of mapping tools and services such as Google Maps. Equivalent experience with Python or Java is also acceptable. A demonstrated knowledge of BI tools and analytics and charting tools is a plus. A track record of solid UI design and software development in RoR or other languages should be clearly evident. MySQL and Linux experience are desirable for this role.

The Senior Software Engineer, Platform --- will be a key player in developing a multitenant platform to support the next generation of Streetline applications and event processing systems. The platform will also provide data and services to analytics and BI software, as well as internal and 3rd party APIs. A track record of developing robust, API-based multitenant platforms, skills at coping with imperfect and delayed data, and API design and implementation experience are required. Significant Ruby on Rails development experience is highly desirable although experience with Python or Java is also acceptable. Experience with backends for BI tools, as well as Linux and MySQL background would be very helpful.

The Senior Engineer, Infrastructure --- will create tools to deploy and manage Streetline´s sensor networks and applications. You will have the opportunity to build and deploy large-scale smart city technology solutions that impact people every day. This is a dual-purpose role where you´ll not only build tools but also be involved in actively managing city-scale deployments of sensors, servers and apps.

Candidates should possess development skills around custom monitoring systems, deployment automation and configuration management (Chef and Capistrano a plus), as well the ability to track down and solve problems with large-scale distributed systems. Development experience in Ruby on Rails and Python required, along with Linux and shell scripting; background with RabbitMQ, MySQL, Redis, Riak and/or CouchDB are highly desirable, as well as experience with TCP/IP network routing. Operations experience, good organization and a cool head will be valuable in this role.

The Senior Software Engineer, System Integration --- will develop and customize solutions based on our SaaS platform and applications and our robust sensor network and hardware to enable Streetline to solve customer-specific problems. Experience building Ruby on Rails, Python, or Java applications is required. Must be a quick learner and a good systems thinker. Customer interaction skills and good self-motivation are critical to this position. MySQL and Linux experience are highly desirable.

Our system spans embedded sensor hardware, mesh networking, and signal processing all the way up to Cloud-based SaaS/web and mobile user applications -- these positions call for very strong systems thinking, technical breadth and creative innovations well beyond the typical web or desktop applications.
