The Director of Engineering is responsible for the development of applications with experience in development of highly scalable Ruby-on-Rails, Python, and Java applications. A track record of design and implementation in RoR or other languages should be clearly evident. This is a key engineering management position involving leadership and design, but also hands-on coding. This individual should be a proven leader and have delivered complex consumer and enterprise SaaS solutions. Expertise should be clearly demonstrated in Agile processes including SCRUM and/or XP -- being a certified Scrummaster is a definite plus. The successful candidate will have solid leadership, communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Our system spans embedded sensor hardware, mesh networking, and signal processing all the way up to Cloud-based SaaS/web and mobile user applications -- this position call for very strong systems thinking, technical breadth and creative innovations well beyond the typical web or desktop applications.
