Selected Candidate will:
IT Manager will play an important role in our current and future growth and development. This position will support our California and North Carolina business offices. This unique role requires both hands-on technical skills and the ability to manage subordinates. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting significant components of Sequoia systems as well as ensure that Systems personnel are focused on providing a smooth and stable infrastructure. Ensure timely communication between the Systems group and upper management and other departments. Will provide business and technology leadership to department. Hire, manage and develop Systems team. Will champion and guide Systems projects as general project manager. Will work to streamline process and remove obstacles that prevent staff from working in an efficient manner. Provide operational monitoring and change management to ensure robust system uptime. Provide assistance to the Development Group as part of their development process. Develop and manage IT budget. Oversee systems security policies and projects. This is a hands-on position managing a small staff of dedicated engineers. Span of responsibility includes all corporate IT infrastructure as well as customer application systems hosted in colo facility. Systems include SQLServer and Sybase databases, web servers, Linux and Windows OS. This position will report to the VP of Product Development.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage IT budget. Oversee systems security policies and projects. This is a hands-on position managing a small staff of dedicated engineers. Span of responsibility includes all corporate IT infrastructure as well as customer application systems hosted in colo facility. Systems include SQLServer and Sybase databases, web servers, Linux and Windows OS. This position will report to the VP of Product Development.
•Manage IT operations to support a secure high-availability hosting environment and internal infrastructure.
•Implementation and project leadership
•Monitoring of multiple office locations
•Maintains Systems IT Helpdesk and tracks SLAs (to internal customers)
•Designs, monitors and maintains internal and external network architecture
•Technical support of internal and external systems
•Develops and leads implementation of security strategy
•Designs, executes and validates backup and disaster recovery plans
•Acts as senior technical advisor, researches new technologies
•Mentors and delegates tasks to IT staff
•Installs and supports Windows and Linux servers and clients
•Create, manage, and adhere to plans for medium to large projects.
•Work with minimal supervision on a wide variety of projects and tasks.
•Identification and sponsorship of new IT services to improve service delivery
•Management and support of Systems IT staff
•Maintains a CMdB and ensures that assets are maintained responsibly
•Identify, assess, and improve internal processes.
Qualifications:
•BS in Information Systems or equivalent work experience
•10 years experience Systems administration and engineering
•Strong skills in Windows systems administration and engineering (Win Server, XP, IIS, Exchange, Active Directory, etc.)
•Strong skills in Linux systems administration and engineering(Redhat)
•Superior written and oral communications and organization skills
•Proven experience with change control & change management
•Understanding of software development and product lifecycles
•Experience with PA-DSS & PCI-DSS and/or other certification requirements
•Excellent customer service skills
•Flexibility to work in a dynamic small company atmosphere
•Strong understanding of how IT provides business and customer solutions.
•Strong IT policy creation skills.
•Strong Personnel management, supervision and leadership skills.
•Mastery of Project Management.
•DBA experience in SQL server and/or Sybase
•Systems Administration experience in a Windows and Linux environment
