Our client is located in San Francisco, CA and is backed by substantial venture funding from Khosla Ventures, First Round Capital, Ron Conway and Baseline Ventures, Atomico Investments, Y Combinator and several angel investors.

Responsibilities:
* Implement and deliver the server side components of the product.
* Define and evangelize the various WEB APIs
* Establish protocols and APIs that can recover from the unpredictable mobile networks.
* Work on the integration with various third party e-mail services.
* Implement the various classification, search and ranking algorithms.
Requirements:
* 6+ years of experience as a software developer (internships count)
* 2+ years experience working on a server side team of 3 or more.
* Production experience with a main stream Linux distribution like Ubuntu, Centos or Debian.
* 2+ years of experience with complex algorithms instrumented for large scale deployments.
* Experience with some mainstream languages like: C#, Java, Python, Ruby
* Experience with some major server side frameworks like: ASP.NET, J2EE, Django or RoR
Bonus Points:
* Deployment experience with Apache Cassandra or other NoSQL solutions
* Production experience with Mono running .NET on Linux
* Data modeling for ColumnFamily-based data model
