PHP Developer Position
Location: San Francisco, CA
Fordela is an emerging growth cloud-based enterprise video asset management
company. Our mission is to revolutionize how video content is managed and
distributed by providing a sophisticated feature rich application that is
accessed through an elegant, highly intuitive Web 2.0 interface.
The Position:
We are seeking experienced, highly motivated, creative and skilled developers

Responsibilities:
• Design and implement product and platform features using CakePHP and other
server-side technologies
• Work with front-end developers to create javascript and client-side code
• Take part in the entire software life cycle: planning, development, testing,
and release
• Assist in project planning, code and database design
• Develop, support, and maintain clean OOP code
• Optimize existing code and database queries
• Participate in QA testing
• Stay current on new and emerging technologies
• Work with the team to manage, optimize and customize multiple web
applications.
• A high task load is expected. You should be able to work within tight
deadlines while exhibiting exemplary time management and task prioritization
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5+ years software development experience including Object Oriented
design and PHP Development.
• Extensive experience in PHP development frameworks is a must. Strong
experience with the LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
• Experience with Drupal Content Management Software
• Experience defining and documenting project requirements
• Experience in Cross-Browser Compatibility
• Experience with Subversion or other versioning software
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
Pluses
• Previous experience with CakePHP or other MVC framework is a huge plus.
• Knowledge of SEO implementation and best practices
• Familiarity with third party APIs
