Job Description

SUPPORT SITE BUSINESS ANALYST

The Client's Support Site is Client's internet portal for Customer Support.
This site contains applications and tools to help client's customers perform activities such as maintaining their company and installed base data, creating support cases, researching product information, downloading software and documentation and troubleshooting their issues.
This site is undergoing a major revamp.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for managing the re-implementation of selected applications hosted on the Support Site.

Responsibilities:
The Support Site Business Analyst will be responsible for:
- Partnering with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and client's Business Owners of selected Applications to understand the Business imperatives of the business area
- Understanding the functionality of the Support Sit site components and their relationship to backend systems for selected applications
- Understanding the business processes employed by the stakeholder business areas in relationship to the selected Support Site applications
- As a key member of the NOW NextGen Project, designing and driving the delivery of improvements to the Support Site and it's interfaces to other systems by
o Coordinating the compilation of business requirements with the business owners
o Creating functional specifications
o Participating in solution design
o Creating test scenarios and test cases
o Performing User Acceptance (Integration) Testing
o Defect Tracking and Resolution
o Facilitating communication of Support Site changes to impacted stakeholders, including developing and coordinating delivery of training


Required Experience:

5-7 year's experience with the following:
Design and/or support of a Customer facing Portal
Creation of functional specifications, coordination of system enhancements with business owners and IT, creation and execution of testing and development/delivery of training materials for system or process changes
Understanding relational database schemas
SQL skills
HPQC
Experience with Content Management System a plus

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to work in a fast paced, schedule driven environment with a minimum of direct supervision
