[KITlist-Tech] BUSINESS ANALYST (Minneapolis, MN)

Minneapolis startup company seeking a senior level Business Analyst to join their growing team in a direct hire status. This is not a telecommuting position. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Minneapolis, MN at their own cost.

Qualified candidates will possess the following profile:

Minimum 5-7 years as a technical business analyst across multiple projects, including but not limited to gathering and managing detailed requirements, designing feature-based systems, and supporting the development life cycle from design through QA and release.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Candidate must also possess very good organizational, scheduling, and planning skills.

Candidate must have a very strong background in Agile development, including story development and management and participating in sprint driven releases.

Candidate must also have experience in delivering Web 2.0 Software as a Service (SaaS) applications.

Experience with early stage companies is a plus.

Domain experience with health and wellness is a plus.

Scope of Engagement / General Description of the Services to be Provided:

Contractor will be engaged to execute the responsibilities of Business Analyst, including:

• Author and manage Agile Stories
• Develop and maintain supplemental requirements documents (process models, decision flows, information flows, glossaries, and information models)
• Develop and maintain issues lists and task list for all deliverables within the BA responsibility
• Working with the Project Manager, estimate and schedule BA tasks
• Manage dialogue with Business throughout lifecycle (schedule Subject Matter Expert meetings, ensure that SME's are properly utilized to resolve requirements issues)
• Interview SME's and conducting, leading, and facilitating joint application design (JAD) workshops
• Help business partners (SME's) understand their roles and responsibilities within the project.
• Participate in and document the outcomes of the requirements prioritization process.
• Document release and sprint (iteration) content as needed
• Play a key role in scope management and expectation management for the SME's and business partners
• Keep the business resources informed about the current disposition of scope issues
• Communicate requirements to Architecture, Development, and QA teams
• Ensure that the design will meet the business requirements.
• Participate in Quality management planning process (ensuring requirements are addressed)
