QA Automation Engineer for Server
Location: San Jose, CA
Opportunity Snapshot:
The groups that comprise SAVBU provide an excellent opportunity to grow in the exciting and expanding market of virtualization in the data center. SAVBU is creating the vision, strategy, and products for next generation data center server access and virtualization. Our dynamic team, many of whom came from a start up environment, is comprised of seasoned engineers and motivated junior engineers interested in learning and growing their skills in a fast changing, growing market. We are excited about our vision of the next generation server access and virtualization architecture. You will be responsible for delivering automated QA tests and regression results on the Unified Computing System software.
Required Skills/Experience:
* BS CS/EE degree and 3-7 years of strong hands-on automated testing experience in server and storage areas.
* Experience developing automation frameworks
* Strong background and experience in software testing methodology, test development and test execution.
* Experience of working on/ testing networking protocols.
* Proficient programming in at least one scripting language (TCL, Perl, Python, etc.).
Highly desirable Skills/Experience:
* Automation of server related testing
* Experience in SAN technolgies.
* OO programming
* Good understanding of data center operation.
Personal Characteristics:
* Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to manage competing high priority tasks.
* Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others, and have fun!
* Independent, accountable, strong sense of ownership, assertive, communicative, accountable, sense of urgency, and flexible and adaptable.
