Mindsource is seeking Embedded Engineers (RTOS, Device Driver, Firmware, Kernel) for our successful client near Palo Alto, CA to design and engineer real-time medical testing, diagnostic systems, and therapy solutions for their many customers.

This is a perm position. H1-B transfers and modest relocation allowance is offered for the right candidate.

Basic Job Description:

Design, develop, and configure system software for embedded medical devices. Responsible for rapid product development, including prototype design, implementation, and testing.

A demonstrated success in RTOS, Embedded System design, deep knowledge of Linux or other RTOS Kernels, C programming Language, Assembly programming on x86/ARM based environments etc is fundamental for this job.

Requirements:

• B.S. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related fields.
• Expertise in C Programming on Linux, Windows, and other RTOS environments.
• Assembly language.
• Deep understanding of Linux/Unix OS architectures.
• Board bring-up and debugging.
• Software best practices including use of version control and unit tests.
• Full life cycle product development.
• Knowledge of common hardware interfaces.
• Instrumentation/mechanical process controls.
• Performance and memory optimization.

• You should be naturally very technical, and curious. You dig beneath the surface to understand how things work, why they are a certain way and what the design trade-offs were.
• You take the initiative to propose ideas and air concerns, to take technical ownership to drive the areas you work on.
• You want to work with other bright motivated people, contribute to technical discussions, and continue to learn more.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage your time to deliver on deadlines.
• Produce high quality production software using industry best practices.
• Provide technical support and guidance for post release, production systems.
