Job Title: Senior Hardware / Board Design Engineer
Location: San Jose, CA

Opportunity Snapshot
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in the hardware engineering team of SAVBU - Cisco´s latest acquisition in the Data Center space. We are looking for candidates who strive in a fast paced start-up like environment. You will be part of a dedicated team, open communications, empowerment, innovation, teamwork and customer success are the foundations of the team. Thus, you set your own limits for learning and achievements.
We are looking for a motivated Hardware Engineer to contribute to the development of our next generation product.

Job Requirements:

1) 10G SFI and XFI system design and PCB layout.

2) PCIe Gen1 and Gen2 protocol and physical layer.

3) Hands on board design experience familiar with design tools including Cadence Concept, and Allegro

4) Knowledge of multi Gigabit serial busses like PCI-E, DDR2, DDR3, hyper transport.

5) Experience with lab bring up and design validation on products

6) Ability to interface with other disciplines, including software, mechanical and signal integrity

7) Demonstrated experience with shipping products
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Job will require design, and lab work

8) Minimum of 5+ years of experience with BSEE, or MSEE

9)Familiar with high speed design signal integrity issues, power distribution techniques and modern processors

DESIRED SKILLS/TRAITS

1) Experience with x86 architecture is a plus

2) X86 multi-core processor system design and PCB layout

3) 8G FCOe protocol and physical layer
4) DDR memory system design and PCB layout
