[KITlist-Tech] Sr. Java GUI Developer (San Jose, CA)

Position: Java GUI Developer
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6+months with possible to long term

We are looking for a Senior GUI Java Developer who is focusing on the front end developer but has a strong understanding of the backend developer.
- A strong GUI Java developer who has experience setting up infrastructure to do development.
- Once initial environment is set-up, candidate will be responsible for Design, Development and Sustaining for the duration of the engagement
- Work as part of a Hardware Systems Engineering group, which is looking to build a team for software.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for doing all GUI work, including coding.
- Responsible for selecting New infrastructure, open source software and getting it going to then be able to do development.
- Needs to be able to do both: Stand Alone and Web Based GUI application.
- Solid knowledge of frameworks to select and design and to be able to work with backend Engineers for set up.
Build a "stand alone" Java App with GUI to help clients install software.
- Used for provisioning VMWare and provisioning switches.
- Need is to build 10-15 screens, using Open Source UI, for each scheduled software release.
- Meet with Marketing to define need. Create prototype and then refine with Marketing until design is complete and released.
- Interface with Engineers who have the domain knowledge and with Product Marketing person.

Required:
- BS/BA Degree with 7+ years of related experience
- Must have hands-on experience developing GUI software.
- Must have knowledge how to set up infrastructure and frameworks for development.
- Must have experience and knowledge how to interface with the backend.
- Must be experienced to do all design work by self. Client will only provide requirements.
- All design must keep scale and performance in mind. Need to know what is the best way to display and organize all detail.
- Solid written and verbal communication is essential.
