Job Description:
The corporate research center has an immediate opening on temporary assignment for a senior software engineer to implement complex algorithms for analytical instrumentation.
The successful candidate will be involved in the development of mass spectrometry systems as part of the Molecular Detection team in central research center.

Core responsibilities for this position include:
- Design, implement and test software to process real time data from analytical instrumentation
- Test algorithm revisions
- Implement process
- Take responsibility for assigned projects from inception to completion
- Maintain appropriate laboratory notebooks, write research reports, periodically present work to the R&D team as well as to the management team.
- Support preparation of patent applications to protect proprietary technology

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years' experience with multi-core and/or multi-process programming
- Linux driver development experience
- Multi-threaded application development
- Experience with Xilinx FPGAs.
- Demonstrated strength with Python and C.
- Embedded real-time application development (highly desirable)
- Hands on experience and strong debugging skills
- Strong math skills highly desired
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, demanding, collaborative, and exciting technology environment
- Demonstrated initiative and creativity
- Strong work ethic and team player attributes

Special Notes: Especially Looking for Candidates with multi-threaded programming experience and interest in Linux drivers
