[KITlist-Tech] Senior Technical Writer (Silicon Valley, CA)

SUMMARY: Mature mobile-networking startup is looking for a senior-level Technical Writer to join a small, high-output publications department.

BA/BS (minimum) in technical field, or English, Journalism, or equivalent. Excellent written and verbal English skills.

5 years minimum experience in software technical writing.  Proven ability to manage multiple projects and demanding deadlines.
 
Experience developing system administration guides, installation guides, and command-line references for highly technical audiences.
 
Experience in basic networking technology: TCP/IP, routers, OSPF, and similar.
 
Proficient in FrameMaker, and in HTML-authoring software such as Dreamweaver or equivalent. Experience developing online-help from FrameMaker source preferred. Proficient in technical illustration software such as Visio or Illustrator.
 
Comfortable working from the UNIX command-line (Solaris or Linux).
 
Local candidates only, no relocation.
