Our client is a leading B2B SAAS software company in their space. Their solutions enable companies to increase and maximize their revenue through a number of different offerings. As a result of the company's growth we are seeking a candidate with a technical pre-sales background with SAAS/subscription offerings to join their expanding team for this exciting opportunity:
Position title: Pre-Sales Consultant
Location: Cupertino area, California
Position details:
The Pre-Sales Consultant supports the sales team by facilitating the "technical sales process" in complex sales situations. The Pre-Sales Consultant works closely with other departments to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision makers and accurately reflect the company's product offerings and capabilities.
Position responsibilities:
-Assist the sales team to achieve the revenue goals of the company
-Reporting to the EVP, Sales & Marketing (EVP), the Pre-Sales Consultant works along with all
members of the sales team and prioritizes their efforts based on maximizing total impact on
team productivity and profit, as directed by the EVP
-Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses
customer's met and unmet needs and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the company
-Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer organization…
adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support
-Coordinates closely with sales, engineering and on-boarding resources to align solution design with customer's business requirements
-Secures from the customer technical staff commitments needed to ensure a deals "technical
close" and "technical feasibility"
-Provides coaching and professional development to sales team to enhance their product
knowledge, technical acumen and technical sales skills
-Opportunistically pursues additional business development opportunities with customer base
-Collaborates with sales team to ensure all opportunities are effectively covered and advanced
-Recommends solutions that fit into the company's strategy and product offerings and roadmap
-Monitors technical solutions pondered throughout the sales process and alerts the sales team to potential risks to deal closure and the company's ability to perform
Required skills:
-5+ years technical pre-sales experience
-Enterprise software pre-sales experience in a SaaS environment
-Ability to report to a local Silicon Valley-based corporate office
-Proven ability to understand prospects needs, competitor's offerings and position and align
company solutions
-High level management of customer expectations and ability to adhere to tight deadlines
-Ability to discuss products and solutions in relation to the needs of the targeted applications at
all levels of an organization, while at the same time understanding the strengths and
weaknesses of competitive products
-Must be able to demonstrate SAAS software offerings and provide technical proposals as part of
the sales process
-Ability to help decision makers visualize how they can achieve goals & solve problems
-Ability to support moderate travel requirements(up to 20%)
-Four year college degree
