The Senior Linux Administrator will be part of the SABA Cloud Operations team. The primary responsibilities will be to design, configure and administer Servers, Storage and Virtualization platform, this will include 24/7 operations and project work. Analyzing and improving SaaS Infrastructure services, reducing operational costs, providing recommendations and building technical designs for business requirements, and increasing the reliability of Cloud Infrastructure.
Responsibilities
24/7 support for steady state operations and project support.
Automation of standard tasks related to System, Backup, Storage and VMWARE management.
Develop and implement Data backup and recovery strategy based on recovery target objective and recovery point objective.
Engaging with stakeholders to gather infrastructure requirements and produce high-level infrastructure designs including cost and timeline estimates.
Analyzing spending and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
Recommending and driving efficiencies in process and technology improvements.
Developing an effective engagement model between Cloud Operations, Engineering and IT Security stakeholders.
Developing dashboards to track allocation against projects and utilization of servers, storage, data backup capacity.
Defining technology roadmaps based on business needs and vendor technology enhancements.
Evaluating new technologies and provide recommendation to management including planning and execution of proof of concept activities.
Qualifications:
8-10 years of work experience in managing SaaS Infrastructure or IT Infrastructure services.
8-10 years of work experience in Redhat Enterprise Linux 4.x-6.x and CentOS 6.x Administration
8-10 years of work experience in NETAPP Storage Administration and with snapshot/snapmirror technologies
8-10 years of experience in installing, configuring and managing VMWARE technologies and skilled in vSphere, vMotion, vCenter, Virtual datacenter etc
8-10 years of work experience in Linux shell scripting
8-10 years of work experience in managing server Dell and HP server hardware
Experience to configure kick-start for Linux OS installations in the datacenters
Ability to analyze and tune performance issues by leveraging monitoring tools like New Relic, Big Brother, Nagios and Splunk.
Troubleshooting in-depth of TCP/IP protocols like MAIL, DNS, SMTP, SIP SSL etc.
Good technical documentation skills.
