Wind River has an immediate opening for a Sr. Oracle Apps DBA with strong skills in supporting Oracle E business 11i (11.5.10.2) applications configured in a RAC environment. Candidate should have strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and manage databases, application servers, and middleware.
The DBA group at Wind River manages Databases, Oracle E-Business Suite, Identity management products, and Oracle SOA applications.
Responsibilities:
- Support oracle databases on Solaris and Linus operating system
- Support Oracle E business suite 11.5.10.2
- Support and maintain Oracle RAC databases in Linux environment
- Clone, maintain and refresh development database instances of SOA Suite
- Support Identity management suite including OID and SSO
- Configure and maintain RMAN backups
- Should Automate the jobs with shell scripting and SQL queries wherever required
- Should maintain the necessary documentation for all the production and project activities
- Should monitor the system and should be able to provide recommendations about the system
- Should support oracle applications environment 24x7
- Should be available for on-call rotation
- Should be a team player and willing to work independently
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in installing and maintaining oracle 11i applications and oracle application utilities
- Experience in maintaining oracle 9i, 10g and 11g RAC and single node databases
- Experience with Linux, Solaris and Windows operating systems
- Experience in monitoring and creating reports using oracle Enterprise manager
- Knowledge in maintaining SOA suite and applications like OID/SSO, Vertex
- Experience in troubleshooting and tuning SQL packages and procedures
- Experience in data load techniques using Sqlldr and any other third party utilities
- Experience in upgrading and migrating databases from older versions to newer versions
- Experience in migrating databases and applications from Solaris to LINUX
- Experience in integrating applications to providing enterprise solutions whenever necessary
