We have a consulting opening for an experienced Oracle EBS Solution Architect for a specific project.
This project is a Tier 1 IT Ops project which is designed to streamline the Performance and Capacity Management required processes and procedures needed to support Oracle EBS applications including SOA, IDM, UCM, and custom developed Portals in support of G & A, GSS, Sales, and Marketing back-office transaction processes. The goal of this project is to design, develop, and implement best practice ITIL based processes and procedures needed to manage EBS applications running on a mixed virtualized and bare metal environment.
Reporting to the IT Sr. Program Manager and IT Ops Director, the Capacity and Performance consultant will work in the area of capacity and performance management processes and establishment of related procedures, tuning and troubleshooting, focusing on the operation of Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Middleware. This position will be responsible to both proactively and reactively identify and fix sources of installed EBS performance from infrastructure to portal/user interfaces. The candidate will leverage their expertise and hands-on experience to lead performance remediation tasks that leverage Oracle´s E-Business Suite (EBS) and IT Technologies to maximize performance utilization and improve end user experience.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience at a technical level and skills in:
Oracle Applications, Oracle Financials, Order Management, Licensing and support, Logistics, Oracle RDBMS, Oracle Developer, Oracle Discoverer, Oracle Portal, Oracle BI Enterprise Edision OBIEE, Oracle Tutor, Oracle Workflow Builder, SQL Plus, PL/SQL, SQL Loader, TOAD, and Oracle Middleware such as SOA, and IDM..
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to own and provide advises in the performance analysis and maintenance of Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Middleware solution to set capacity management procedures and practices, to provide performance standards, monitoring, design, delivery, and troubleshooting. The individual will need to assess high level design issues relating to platform, software, and interactions with other systems, utilizing diagnostic and monitoring tools to detect, isolate, and resolve performance issues throughout the application and technology stack.
The candidate will need to identify application performance bottlenecks and recommend application instrumentation and/or remediation strategies, and standards.
The individual will identify application performance areas and recommend tuning of application code as necessary, and will required to have strong knowledge of how Oracle E-Business applications interact with the Oracle 11g middleware and Oracle 10g/11g database, and Oracle RAC. Provide recommendations on tuning of SQL and PL/SQL code, database packages and procedures.
The accomplished individual will demonstrate progressive experiences in:
- Planning and managing any of the following teams: performance diagnostic, capacity planning, performance architecture design, performance tuning, performance monitoring, or software development team.
- Performance analysis tools, techniques, and benchmarking, computer operating systems and hardware architecture and design
- Capacity/performance collection tools e.g. Load Runner, BMC Performance Assurance or BMC Perform/Predict, Grid, Zenoss, WebSitePulse, HP Capacity Advisor
- End-to-end SDLC & infrastructure architectures
An outstanding professional will have:
- Bachelor´s Degree in Computer Science or other related technical / financials field
- Minimum of 6-8 years Oracle application development experience
- Minimum of 3-4 years of recent Oracle EBS hands-on performance management experience as the lead designer or system architect on large Oracle EBS and deployments
