Role: Electronics Technician, Earthquakes Science Center, United States Geological Survey, Menlo Park, CA
You are an experienced senior electronics technician looking for an opportunity to exercise skills in RF, digital and analog communications, computers, and scientific data acquisition equipment and systems. You will supply support for various aspects of seismic monitoring, data gathering, telemetry systems and components that are essential to monitoring Northern California seismic activity. You are a self-motivated and self-directed individual who thrives on solving technical problems, the diversity of work, and the variety of challenges associated with such a scientific endeavor. You have a demonstrated expertise in RF, analog and digital test equipment and methodologies. You enjoy field work as well as bench and office work. You enjoy working in a team, but also as an individual contributor. You appreciate the public safety mission of the USGS and want to be part of that team.
