Responsibilities:
The Professional Services Director plays a critical role in our customer implementations, by providing a smooth deployment, leading to a successful transition to our hosted environment, and ensuring continued customer success. The director is responsible for overall project success, defines along with the Sales team and the customer the overall scope of the project and major project milestones and deliverables. The PS Director works closely with the Science team and Data Services lead to ensure that these milestones are met according to the project timeline. Finally, the services director, also works alongside the customer success team to ensure widespread use and adoption of the SD application.
The SD Director works with smart customers to make a mission-critical solution a reality. Customer contacts are primarily in the IT, marketing, sales, finance and business operations organizations of large (Fortune 1000) enterprise customers.
Detailed Responsibilities Include:
· Lead the SD team (typically a science and data lead) to deploy the SD product suite at the customer site
· Act as the main project liaison with the customer project lead, and key stake holders within the organization
· Develop trusted advisor relationship with key customer personnel (Business and IT)
· Manage the day to day work on-site with customers´ IT and business staff to understand their business and architect a solution using SignalDemand´s deployment methodology
· Identify key risks and mitigation strategies that may impact the success of the project
· Act as the customer advocate and interface with engineering and product management to provide customer feedback and insight to improve product solution and direction
· Marshall resources as necessary to resolve problems and issues, if and when they arise
· Understand Industry business processes and strategic directions, and how the SD application can improve these processes
· Ensure smooth transition to support and operations, with detailed configuration documentation
· Identify new license/services opportunities in existing customer as well as opportunities with new customers
Minimum Requirements:
· Science, engineering or Math based undergraduate degree required. MBA preferred
· 6+ years of work experience with demonstrated ability in leading teams and customer engagement
· Proven client management skills, and proven capability to ensure successful complex technology implementations
· Excellent project management skills
· Excellent team work skills to quickly establish strong working relationships and credibility with customer contacts as well as SignalDemand peers
· Strong communications skills suitable for customer communications by phone, email, and in-person
· Goal-oriented with the ability to work independently with minimal management direction, handling customer challenges real-time as they arise
· Possess the ability to have a tight grasp of the details, as well as seeing the bigger picture and making important trade off decisions
· Strong communication skills, with an ability to express complex business concepts in technical terms via presentation and written form.
· Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and reliably achieve goals
· Solid understanding of software technologies and analytic tools (excel)
· An interest in understanding and supporting sophisticated science based forecasting and optimization models. An interest in pricing commodities and their derivative products in large complex manufacturing organizations
. Preference for local candidates, but strong candidates based in any US location considered , Some travel to customer sites required, with travel to the San Francisco HQ for remote employees from time to time

Desirable Experience:
· Experience configuring products which leverage optimization models
· Some understanding of price and supply optimization concepts and toolsets; deep understanding and demonstrated experience strongly preferred
· Experience in BI and data tools such as Qlikview, Tableau, Cognos and SQL
