[KITlist-Tech] VP of Mobile Engineering (Palo Alto, CA)

Please direct your responses to: diana.duval@teamaol.com

I'm working with the Head of AOL's West Coast Recruiting to locate a VP of Mobile Engineering. The position reports into the SVP of Engineering for the Consumer Applications Group led by Brad Garlinghouse – http://www.linkedin.com/in/bradgarlinghouse in our newly redesigned Page Mill Road office.

As you may have heard, AOL's in the midst of a big turn-around – new CEO and management team (ex-Google), acquisitions like TechCrunch and About.me, and a commitment to new products, ideas and initiatives that raise the bar and set the standard for what we believe high quality content is on Web and mobile platforms.

This is a highly visible and impactful role, as the desired candidate will be shaping a critical piece of AOL's forward-looking vision and overseeing a mobile portfolio that includes over 40 smartphone apps across multiple platforms, a highly trafficked mobile Web presence with 20 subsections for brands including Moviefone, Engadget and more, as well as server infrastructure dedicated to SMS and mobile AIM message delivery. Responsibilities include launching mobile-first 1.0 products.

The desired candidate will have at least 10+ years of technical experience – including 3 years developing mobile applications – and ideally and a track record of successfully leading large teams to ship mass-market products that have a great user experience, familiarity with the dynamics of a content/advertising business, and the development and quality assurance of AOL's mobile and tablet products.

Should you or someone you know be interested in discussing this high-profile, innovative role, I'd welcome the conversation.
