· Experience with developing device drivers, firmware, BSPs, hardware bring-up
· Ability to read & understand programmer´s reference manuals for hardware devices

Education
BS degree in an engineering discipline, preferably computer science or computer engineering or software engineering (without this, there needs to be a considerable amount of professional experience in these fields instead)
Other
· Self motivated, self disciplined, self starting, self sufficient
· Excellent giving presentations in front of groups of people
· Able to prioritize tasks
· An understanding of basic business & sales principals
· Not afraid of a challenge
· Quick on the feet (can answer hard questions fast)
· Outgoing and personable
· Comfortable in the role as a "change agent" (i.e. ability to engage with a customer and significantly impact their current software development approach/process such that it incorporates the value of Wind River's SIMICS solution in their everyday approach to developing their applications)
Note: We do not list ´simulation´ as a required skill or experience. While it would be nice for a TAM to know SIMICS or a competitor´s simulation product coming into this role, we believe it is much easier for a person skilled with software engineering to learn simulation on the job rather than to try to take someone who knows simulation but doesn´t understand software and/or what our customer´s daily pain points are.
