Summary
Bossa Nova seeks a Software Engineer with expertise in embedded software development and application development on Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Design and develop production software for Bossa Nova's embedded systems
• Develop, adapt, and maintain drivers for USB communication on both embedded and PC ends
• Develop, adapt, and maintain programs and scripts to support development, testing, and production
• Develop, adapt, and maintain user applications utilizing data storage, USB drivers, and Internet connectivity on both Windows and Mac
• Support QA with documentation and testing procedures
• Collaborate with other engineers to develop, evaluate, and validate system communication protocols
• Collaborate with other engineers to develop embedded systems solutions
Requirements
• Experience in embedded software development
• Experience in a scripting languages (Ruby, Python, etc.)
• Expertise in developing applications in Windows and Mac environments
• Experience using version control (SVN, Git, etc.) and project management systems (Redmine, Trac, etc.)
• Minimum Degree: BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
Nice to Have
• Experience in USB driver development
• Expertise in SQL database development
• Experience in basic web technologies, including HTTP, sockets, etc.
• Expertise developing in Linux environments
• Experience building and support test harnesses for QA
