We have a great opportunity for a knowledgeable Web Developer with experience designing and building killer consumer web applications. As a member of our engineering team, you will have the chance to participate in design decisions and help create the company´s core software assets. You will have the chance to demonstrate your ability to come up to speed quickly on difficult problems, become a significant contributor to a hard-working team, and take pride in your work. This is a terrific opportunity for engineers with experience in a wide range of areas.
Requirements
You should have an understanding of browser compatibility issues, web view technologies and knowledge of SQL. You take pride in creating high-quality software. You must be capable of managing your time well and working efficiently without close supervision. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Minimum 5 years professional experience, with at least 2 years developing web applications.
- Knowledge of web view technologies such as JSP, Velocity.
- Experience writing cross-platform JavaScript.
- Experience with JQuery (or similar JavaScript library).
- Experience unit testing with frameworks such as JUnit.
- Experience working with Apache with Jetty or Tomcat.
- Experience developing for Linux-based deployment platforms (Debian preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Plus Requirements
- Consumer web application development experience
- Experience developing object-oriented code in Java.
- Technically proficient using any of the following: Hibernate, XML-RPC, Perl, Flash, AJAX.
- Experience with Agile software development.
- Experience working with back end databases (PostgreSQL preferred), using SQL.
- Experience providing streaming media direct to consumers.
- BA/BS or better in Computer Science or a related field.
