I am looking for a proven DB engineer with strong PL/SQL and DB schema development experience. This is a great opportunity to join a stellar team in a high-impact role.
Senior Database Engineer
We are looking for a highly motivated senior database engineer for our advanced advertising system for our platform.
Responsibilities:
Schema design, refactoring
Creating/optimizing queries to be executed against a high volume, high availability OLTP system
Provide development team guidance on database best practices
Database performance tuning
Participate in DB engineering architecture process
Data warehouse design, implementation and deployment
Develop performance metrics
Assist with report generation
Support production and development databases
Support Network Operations team, both proactively and in crisis mode
Requirements:
Ability to produce sophisticated stored procedures and functions
Managed data sources upwards of tens of millions of rows of data
Constructed and optimized queries for high volume, high availability, real time deployments
Appropriate educational background (bachelors degree preferred)
Strong experience with database concepts and fundamentals
Minimum Experience:
At least 5 years of hands-on experience of DB software development
BS or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent
Preferred Experience:
MySQL replication/clustering
Previous data warehousing experience
Previous ETL tool experience
Experience of other relational databases (Oracle, DB2, Postgres, etc.)
Familiar with J2EE environments and ORM tools such as Hibernate
