[KITlist-Tech] Senior UX Designer, Mobile (Palo Alto, CA)

Please direct your responses to: westcoastrecruiting@teamaol.com

The recent buzz confirms an all-new AOL is here. Recent news about Phoenix, our next-generation Mail product (per Time magazine "E-mail Is Innovative Again") and the TechCrunch acquisition are turning heads and people are talking. We´re also collaborating with legendary American artist Chuck Close: http://www.aolartists.com/.

These milestones are testament to new CEO Tim Armstrong and management team/ex-Google, others from Digg, MTV Networks, Palm and Yahoo!, who are committed to new ideas, products and initiatives. AOL offers the rare combination of a startup culture and approach, creative design freedom, plus a healthy cash engine and mass consumer audience built-in (250M visitors around the world), that's attracting top talent.

To continue blazing a trail of creativity and innovation, we're seeking a super hero Sr. UX Designer to help design the future of AOL Mobile. That means you'll be a key player in shaping the product vision and emotional tone of our products, not just creating wireframes and coloring in them in later. If you're a creative zealot who loves crafting amazingly beautiful AND usable experiences for mobile devices, we want to meet you!

You should be great at…
* Crafting clean, contemporary designs that elegantly balance product and business requirements and achieve a distinct emotional tone
* Creating rapid prototypes to express your ideas in motion
* Knowing when and when not to be consistent
* Evangelizing conceptual ideas and design rationale for features
* Collaborating with engineers and QA to ensure the final product meets your design specs

Here's what we're looking for…
* A portfolio demonstrating your best work and your visual design process
* 5+ years designing highly usable, elegant interfaces for web, desktop and mobile applications
* An expert eye for the little details that make or break a great design
* Stellar layout, color and typography skills with a fanatical attention to detail - down to the pixel!
* Strong proficiency with Illustrator and Photoshop.
* Ability to take constructive feedback on your work. No divas!
* Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or equivalent work experience.

To apply, please email resume and cover letter to diana.duval@teamaol.com
