Build and Release Engineer- Java
Duration : 12- 18 Months+ contract
Location: Cupertino, CA

• Coordinate Build and Release Management activities
• Ensure all releases are released in an orderly manner from development to production.
• Able to Manage release branches/streams.
• You would be involved in automating release process
• Work with system analysis and product management for the successful completion of a project
• Build management experience releasing Java Software
• Provide documentation (docs and wiki) for software as required by software development process
• Generate Release Notes with the deploy/install instructions and support
Skills/Experience
2-6 years experience in Java development
• 2 or more years of build/release management experience
• Strong background in using SVN, CVS etc and good understanding of databases
• Good experience with Apache Ant and or Maven
• Unix Fundamentals and excellent Scripting skills in any one of these languages bash, Perl, python etc.
• Experience with continuous integration and knowledge or branching
• Team Player and is detail oriented
• Excellent communication skills desired
