Position: Streaming Media Producer
Location: Alameda, CA
Wind River seeks an experienced, professional producer to work with highly technical subject matter and subject matter experts to guide the creation of customer-ready video and rich media instructional materials to complement our technical documentation and training materials.
This ideal candidate will define the approach to presenting topics, coach contributors, and then edit and enhance footage into a finished product. This person will also recommend tools for the creation and presentation of content, as well as continuously watching technology developments in the industry and mapping them to Wind River's needs.
Please note this is not a "videographer" position.

Responsibilities:
•Work with subject matter experts (field engineers) to help them understand what they need to create and what is the proper approach to presenting a topic. Review draft outlines from the subject matter experts, and provide guidance on the proper recording tool(s) and the necessary parameters.
•Clean up resulting footage for visual cleanliness, re-record voiceover, and add other enhancements as needed and time allows.
•Process finished media into the necessary distribution and streaming formats.
•Have an eye for effective presentation, so s/he can coach contributors.
•Continuously watch technology developments in the industry, and map them to our evolving needs.
•Recommend tools for creation and presentation of content.
Requirements:
•At least 2-3 years corporate streaming media experience. This includes project management and planning/directing, production and editing experience.
•Demonstrated proficiency with current multimedia tools and video recording and editing tools; for example, we may use tools like Final Cut 7, Compressor, Premiere CS5, Photoshop CS5, and SoundForge. Experience with Camtasia or Captivate a plus.
•Ability to do camera work (though please note this is not a "videographer" position).
•A strong sense for effective presentations and a critical proofreader's eye.
•Experience directing and coaching subject matter experts on effective video techniques.
