We are currently looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer - Linux. This person will be reporting to the Manager of Platform Engineering within our corporate Engineering team in San Jose. You will be a member of the core development team developing next generation Wyse Linux based Thin Client platform. The candidate will work on all components with an emphasis on networking and power management. As a part of the job, the candidate will constantly work with Wyse off-shore team, partners and customers on delivering project milestones and resolving technical issues.
Job Responsibilities
■Development of Linux system software.
■Development of software tools for power management and network.
Required Qualifications
■5+ years in Linux system level development
■Knowledge of Linux power management, POE, CDP, and LLDP
■Deep understanding of IPv4, IPv6, and MACsec
■Knowledge of USB and Bluetooth
■Deep knowledge of Linux kernel and Linux/Unix operating system internals
■Experience with multithread C/C++ programming
■Experience with debugging / troubleshooting device drivers, network debug tools
■Excellent testing and debugging skills
■Experience with Linux scripts (bash, perl, python)
■Experience with open source software integration
■Experience working with remote teams
■Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
