Looking for the excitement of working for a startup within a mature organization? Do you want to be part of a company and develop a product that's revolutionizing the software development process?

Electric Cloud is looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to join its ElectricCommander® development team. We build the software that powers clouds dedicated to software development, testing, and deployment. These clouds are used by leading companies from around the world in all industries and can be as small as 10 nodes and as large as 1000's of nodes.

This team-oriented environment provides you with a chance to work with other motivated, intelligent and enthusiastic engineers to expose and solve issues in a highly complex multi-part and multi-platform software product. Highly technology-curious individuals will have plenty to dig into. ElectricCommander uses a variety of technologies and integrates with many more. Having designed and worked with complex, enterprise class applications is a must. While ElectricCommander is an n-tier Java application with a web enabled interface, this is not a web portal.

Job Responsibilities:

-Help with designing and evolving ElectricCommander to improve the usability and user experience of the product.
-Convert feedback and suggestions from users, product management and engineers into elegant application requirements and solutions

Job Requirements:

Must Have

-Should have an excellent eye for design. Know what makes an intuitive user interface and are able to explain why. You will be working with motivated, passionate and intelligent engineers who will challenge designs as we evolved Commander to a first-class enterprise application.
-Strong portfolio featuring examples of interaction design work.
-Must be proficient in tools suitable for creating wireframes or interactive mock-ups used in design reviews or as specs that prototypes or final products are coded from.
-Must be a self-starter … someone who can jump in quickly without a lot of direction and learn by asking the "right" questions.
-Having designed and worked with complex, enterprise class applications is a must and your design experience needs to go beyond the creation of websites or shopping cart portals.
-4+ years of UI/UX design experience

Nice to Have

-Knowledge of or experience with GWT, PHP or CSS. While this is not an engineering position, being able to leverage existing code to produce a concept or prototype is a plus.
-Understanding of the software development lifecycle (build, test, deploy) from a developer, build manager or source control manager´s perspective.
-Graphic design skills (creating new icons or images) appreciated, but not required.

Education:

Bachelor´s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or related field or equivalent experience required.

Travel:

No travel required for this position
