DESCRIPTION
This position is located within the Software Applications engineering group at Vigilent. You’ll play a key role in designing powerful applications on top of the Vigilent artificial intelligence (AI) engine that deliver the next generation of energy management systems for data centers and telecommunications facilities. Expect a fast-paced environment, with an opportunity to make key contributions and inventions that advance the state of the art in energy management and dynamic cooling control.
You will develop advanced applications within a distributed client-server environment that provide the management systems which interface to the Vigilent artificial intelligence engine running on our servers and the web-based client interface running on client displays.
You will work closely with the core technology and UI engineering teams to turn customer needs into elements of exceptional product design. You should have an appreciation for the importance of rigorously-designed and reliable software intended for mission-critical applications; the collection, management and analysis of Big Data; and the complex interactions of real-time control processes combined with the presentation of meaningful information.
You will have responsibility for technical design and implementation, with end-to-end responsibilities for developing and maintaining our technology base. You will interface with Product Marketing, Core Technologies and UI Engineering, and Quality Assurance.
The position is based in our El Cerrito office.
