Java Test Engineer needed for a long term direct client project. Client is public, growing and stable.
** Local candidates with Local Experience preferred due to in person interviewing. (Local = San Francisco Bay Area) **
Responsibilities:
Contribute to QE projects for eCommerce Applications. Java Testing for managing/testing large distributed internet applications. Part of a QA Development Team.
Requirements:
- Core Java software engineering understanding.
- Must have excellent Java programming/coding skills and experience.
- Expertise in java test tool development for Internet/Web applications and Services using Junit across various operating systems.
- Python & Perl experience is a plus
- Ability to differentiate what is a critical risk when a feature is changed.
- Solid communication skills.
- Knowledge of the following:
- Services Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Web Services
- Multi Threading
- Multi DataCenters
- Databases (Structured vs Unstructured)
- Messaging Queues
- Caching
- Memory Fragmentation

[KITlist-Tech] From Sue: “FriendWorking” Networking Event on 8/15
Hello Everyone,
I am speaking at an event next week on how to network in a more personal and authentic way, with the idea of helping others first. I call the idea "FriendWorking" since it taps into the magic of friends helping friends.
Though I've hosted KIT List FriendWorking events over the years, I'm actually the guest speaker for this event hosted by the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (ASAP).
Now that that the ASAP has already invited their members — I can now invite our KIT List people!
This is also open to anyone who would like to network in a much more effective and enjoyable way!
Join us for this special evening of FriendWorking to learn how to deepen your network and connect in more meaningful ways. I will be teaching the same techniques that I share at the KIT List events — and have everyone mix and meet through some fun and informative exercises!
