Title: IT Project Manager
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6 mnos+ (renewable per quarter)
A seasoned IT Project Manager with experience in Program Management and Project Management and a record of delivering projects and tasks on time (efficient and productive). This PM should be well versed in managing large scale programs to implement Enterprise Resource Planning (Oracle ERP). Highly skilled at executing projects using various software development life cycle models.

PURPOSE
As a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer you will be responsible for various activities including interoperability testing with 3rd party partner companies' devices and applications, competitive testing and analysis, internal scale testing and analysis, crafting vertical and horizontal solutions using Meru products, meeting with customer and evangelizing Meru's technology and providing concise and well-documented feedback to engineering on product features and customer requirements.
You will be responsible for defining test plans and creating deployment guides, best practices documents, configuration notes and reference architectures that document validated configurations. You will serve as the go-to-person for field and customer support teams for specific technologies, products, or competitor or vertical solutions.
Communication skills, both oral and written, are essential as a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer. You must productively work with 3rd party partner companies as well as across all major functional areas in the company including hardware engineering, software engineering, product management, product marketing, operations, and sales.

RESPONSIBILTIES
Develop, validate and document WLAN solutions for incorporating 3rd party devices and/or applications for horizontal or vertical solutions and architectures.
Create test plans and test scripts for validating the joint solutions, scale testing internal products and solutions, and competitive testing, including automation of the testing processes where appropriate and feasible.
Assist in designing test strategies, developing test tools and implementing test cases to enhance QA testing processes to ensure continued interoperability of the devices and applications with future software releases and products.
Contribute to product requirements definition and competitive analysis.
Develop product demonstrations and demonstration scripts for customers and events.
Provide guidance and mentoring to other TMEs on projects and tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
10-12 years´ hands-on experience in the networking (switching, routing) industry along with in-depth understanding of wireless, network security and/or Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies.
Familiarity with healthcare devices and applications is desirable.
Familiarity with K-12 and Higher Education applications is highly desirable.
5+ years of combined technical marketing, systems engineering, QA testing, technical writing.
Technical degree (BSEE/BSCS or equivalent)
Strong networking and wireless LAN troubleshooting skills with knowledge of 802.11 wireless standards
Strong written and oral communications skills. Need to be able to communicate detailed written technical evaluations and analysis to 3rd party partners, marketing, product management and engineering.
Must be able to multitask among multiple projects involving 3rd party partner companies and internal groups, react well to changes and priorities of projects.
Must be self-motivated and work independently in a dynamic environment.
Be a true team player, able to work well with R&D, sales, product management and third parties as well as customers
Should have a strong motivation to learn new technologies and get hands dirty to understand the technology and products in depth.
Networking as well as Wireless & Security certifications or equivalent (i.e. CCIE, CISSP, CWNA) is highly desirable
Experience leading a team or group of engineers to accomplish a task.

Responsibilities:
• Development and implementation of Meru quality strategy and plans, in support of continual improvement of supplier quality, product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Development of quality roadmap for Meru Networks, providing schedule and objectives related to continual measurable quality improvement.
• Design and implementation of quality metrics and reporting structure for measuring improvements in quality and detecting trends in quality. Quality reporting on field reliability, quality and performance.
• Managing the output of the Meru supply chain through a comprehensive supplier quality program. Design and implementation of supplier quality metrics
• Design and implementation of Operations Quality systems, the elements of which include Design and Development, Order Fulfillment, Materials, Non Conformance, and other elements of world class quality system
• Reverse supply chain (RMA) management and reporting of metrics. Failure analysis of all RMAs.
• Management of internal and supplier audit program. Training of internal auditors and review of supplier internal audits.
• Liaison with Customer Support and customers related to returns and return rates, and corrective actions. Drive closed loop corrective action system from Customer support back through the organization.
• Assist CEO, CFO/VP, Operations in strategic quality and long term quality planning and analysis.
• Other projects and tasks as agreed with Sr. Director, Operations and CFO.
Experience:
• 10 years experience minimum in quality engineering and quality management, 5 years in a management role.
• Demonstrated experience and success in a customer-facing quality representative in a startup or early phase technical environment
• A demonstrated record of success in delivering world-class quality for wireless communications systems manufacturing.
Knowledge:
• Strong background with the use of statistical methods in manufacturing quality assurance.
• Familiarity and knowledge of industry standards of data communications or telecom systems quality and performance, such as TL9000.
• Strong understanding of electronic component and systems reliability principles
• Background and education in statistics and statistical models related to electronic reliability physics and device reliability
• Expertise with Excel and windows PS-based reliability tools such as Telecordia Reliability Prediction software.
• Familiarity with wireless networking and IEEE 802.11 hardware environments.
Aptitude:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Quality/Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing company. If you have the engineering and quality background we´re looking for then we are interested in talking with you.
Responsibilities:
• Development and implementation of Meru quality strategy and plans, in support of continual improvement of supplier quality, product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Development of quality roadmap for Meru Networks, providing schedule and objectives related to continual measurable quality improvement.
• Design and implementation of quality metrics and reporting structure for measuring improvements in quality and detecting trends in quality. Quality reporting on field reliability, quality and performance.
• Managing the output of the Meru supply chain through a comprehensive supplier quality program. Design and implementation of supplier quality metrics
• Design and implementation of Operations Quality systems, the elements of which include Design and Development, Order Fulfillment, Materials, Non Conformance, and other elements of world class quality system
• Reverse supply chain (RMA) management and reporting of metrics. Failure analysis of all RMAs.
• Management of internal and supplier audit program. Training of internal auditors and review of supplier internal audits.
• Liaison with Customer Support and customers related to returns and return rates, and corrective actions. Drive closed loop corrective action system from Customer support back through the organization.
• Assist CEO, CFO/VP, Operations in strategic quality and long term quality planning and analysis.
• Other projects and tasks as agreed with Sr. Director, Operations and CFO.
Experience:
• 10 years experience minimum in quality engineering and quality management, 5 years in a management role.
• Demonstrated experience and success in a customer-facing quality representative in a startup or early phase technical environment
• A demonstrated record of success in delivering world-class quality for wireless communications systems manufacturing.
Knowledge:
• Strong background with the use of statistical methods in manufacturing quality assurance.
• Familiarity and knowledge of industry standards of data communications or telecom systems quality and performance, such as TL9000.
• Strong understanding of electronic component and systems reliability principles
• Background and education in statistics and statistical models related to electronic reliability physics and device reliability
• Expertise with Excel and windows PS-based reliability tools such as Telecordia Reliability Prediction software.
• Familiarity with wireless networking and IEEE 802.11 hardware environments.
Aptitude:
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work in a variety of locations and culture
Education:
• Bachelors Degree in an appropriate discipline, advanced degree preferred.
• ASQ CQM, CRE or other certifications are a plus.

Position Overview

The Director of Engineering/CTO will direct all architecture, design and development activities of the next generation of the CrossTest product suite. He/she will be a leader, mentor and manager of an outstanding team of engineers. Six month goals for this person will include:

You will be a part of a team that provides market estimates/forecast for different products and services across countries, industries and employee size classes. The estimates/forecast are obtained using econometric and statistical models.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional experience with strength in SAS programming
- PhD in Econometrics or Statistics OR Masters in Econometrics or Statistics
- 3+ yrs experience in building econometric and statistical models
- Experience and Proficiency in using SAS (Base certification level).
- Knowledge of additional statistical software such as Eviews, Mathematica, Matlab will be an advantage.
- Experience working with very large datasets
- Team Player with high degree of self-motivation
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal and communication skills

- 5+ years of experience building web applications
- Expert knowledge of PHP or other interpreted language
- Experience with using PHPUnit (or other xUnit implementations) and Test Driven Development
- Strong knowledge of MySQL with an understanding of the impacts of indexing and schema design along with query analysis and optimization.
- Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS. An ability to develop web pages by writing HTML directly is required; knowledge of XML extremely helpful.
- Linux or FreeBSD familiarity, understanding of Apache or Lighttpd, and experience working in a shell environment.
- Experience working in an agile development environment
Desirable, not required:
- Bachelor´s in Computer Science or related field
- An understanding of major computer science algorithms and ability to implement them where needed.
- Knowledge of MySQL including but not limited to complex joins, subqueries, stored procedures, etc.
- Ability to write and understand complex JavaScript and use frameworks like jQuery.
- Experience developing PHP extensions (PECL modules) in C.
- Previous use of Subversion or git for code management and versioning.
- Experience with Python.
- Familiarity with DNS.
- Involvement in any Free or Open Source software projects.

About the Role: We´re looking to hire a software engineer whom is extremely well versed in PHP and MySQL. Ideally the developer is looking to work in a company where the impact of their efforts is felt on a daily basis all across the company. The candidate will have experience writing production code for something that matters.
