Department Description

MCTE (Mission Critical Transport Engineering) develops IP based solutions for
Motorola Solutions´ public safety systems. The team is a software development
group with Astro Systems Engineering (ASE). The main target of our business is
mission critical applications used in public safety, federal, state and local
governments. Our department has approximately 60 employees - a mixture of
software engineers, hardware engineers, architects, test engineers, and
management. The majority of our development team is focused on real time,
embedded applications used in the Motorola Solutions Network Routers.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations

Work as part of a team in the development of router software. Propose,
architect, specify, cost, design, develop, unit test, and integrate embedded and
application software to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of
the MNR routers. Maintain proficiency in networking and communication protocols
as well as software development capabilities to contribute to a successful
product line. Responsibilities will also require coordination of efforts between
software and hardware development teams.

Specific Knowledge/Skills

Development experience with C in UNIX environment and GNU debugging tools.
Experience in design, development and debugging of real time embedded systems,
multi-layer protocol stacks and network protocols. Protocols desired: telephony
interfaces, PPP, Frame Relay, Ethernet, IP, IPv6, PIM, OSPF, BGP, IPSEC, Voice
over IP.
Knowledge of ASTRO Voice and Data Systems desired
Advanced debugging skills.
Experience with embedded debugging tools (ICE, logic analyzer, oscilloscope,
etc.) is desired
Excellent organizational skills
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.

Project Manager-Technical User Support (Contract)
As Project Manager, you will work within our technical support group, interacting with a variety of internal teams. You will be responsible for working on and leading a variety of large and small projects that directly impact customers and support teams. You will collaborate with stakeholders and contributors to ensure that ongoing projects are completed on time and meet the requirements needed by the support teams. Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations

Work as part of a team in the development of router software. Maintain proficiency in networking and communication protocols as well as software development capabilities to contribute to a successful product line. Responsibilities will also require coordination of efforts between software and hardware development teams.

Specific Knowledge/Skills

Development experience with C in UNIX environment and GNU debugging tools.

Seasoned Project Manager needed for long term consulting project (1+ year) at great Client Company.

Responsibilities:

Manage the execution of multiple concurrent eCommerce projects of different size and complexity
Drive quality software solutions on schedule and to specification
Identify, mitigate, and prioritize, manage and resolve project issues, constraints, dependencies and risks
Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries

Required Skills / Experience:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in Identity Management will be preferred
Ability to work with input from business teams to transform functional specifications to software design documents
Ability to lead the project team through software design tasks into a cohesive project plan and task estimation
Strong team leadership skills
Driven to meet aggressive milestones
Working knowledge of software development, web development and data systems
Familiarity with Java, SOA, J2EE, Object Oriented Programming, Oracle is a plus
Ability to effectively communicate technical issues and provide input in high level design discussions.
Bachelor´s degree in computer science or equivalent is desired
