Job Title: - Oracle Developer

Duties
- We´re seeking a Database and Reporting Engineer with a solid background in Oracle PL/SQL, report requirements gathering and data transformation to work in our fast paced and dynamic environment supporting Global online Premium Services business.
- You will collaborate with other developers and architects as well as our business partners to design, develop and deliver solutions that meet and exceed the requirements both from a functional standpoint as well as a systems performance perspective.
- This team member must demonstrate solid understanding of PL/SQL, Oracle, and report generation.

Additional duties include
- Researching and understanding new web technologies to provide technical solutions in developing Premium Service applications and analyzing business requirements as they pertain to business goals and objectives.
- Provide written design documents, functional specifications, and unit/harness test cases and test results.
- Manage, develop, integrate and implements related application components.
- Additionally be responsible for maintaining and enhancing multiple applications, building IT standards, and promoting industry best practices.
- You must be passionate and driven to deliver best in class solutions that will drive the business into the future.

Skills
- 4+ year reporting and or database applications development
- 2+ years experience in all aspects of database development, tuning SQL queries including Oracle hints, and indexing
- Ability to write testable PL/SQL
- A good understanding of advanced data modeling
- Experience with the following .NET technologies would be nice: ASP .NET MVC
- Excellent debugging techniques
- Sophisticated logical thinking and analytical skills
- Self-motivated, Can-do attitude. Good team player. Hardworking.
- Ability to work and communicate well with the other members of the team.
- Excellent communication skills in both formal and informal settings
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Desire to use cutting edge technologies.

Education
- Bachelor´s degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience required
- 2-4 years in IT application support positions
- Technical knowledge with most operating systems or network/telecom systems or databases and utilities.
- Familiar with most basic system administration tools and processes.
- Ability to write scripts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Tier 1 support for resolution of customer issues for customer –deployed managed service.
• Meet customer-defined SLAs for response time/resolution time.
• Interact directly with customer's technical staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Monitor customer-deployed systems for trends and issues
• Respond to monitoring alerts for issues found in customer deployments
• Shift required for 24x7 support 365 days/year
• Create Change Requests to track production changes in customer deployments
• Create required customer reports and AVN management reports to track customer issues
• Escalate issues as necessary to Tier 2 support engineers.
• Capture detailed information in trouble tickets to ensure expedited troubleshooting.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Must be able to demonstrate detailed technical knowledge in all of the following areas:

• 2+ Years Experience in Production Data Center NOC
• Basic understanding of Windows and Linux servers/OS.
• Basic understanding of internet standards such as -DNS, FTP, SSH, HTML, XM, SNMP and other protocols.
• Basic understanding of Network concepts.
• Basic knowledge of relational databases.
• Experience with trouble ticketing systems.
• Cable head-end and RF knowledge a plus.
• Experience with Nagios/Cacti a plus.
• A passion for managing high-availability systems

COMMUNICATION AND LEADERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to demonstrate competency in the following areas:
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Communication of ideas and solutions in a clear and organized manner.

[KITlist-Tech] File - Spread the word and tips to manage KIT Email Volume

Hello Everyone,

In these wild economic times, it's the power of all of us pulling together that will help everyone land great jobs!

Please be sure to tell employers and recruiters about the KIT List so we can uncover more jobs to get everyone back to work (or into new jobs) faster.

Also, since we can't reach everyone who has been hit by layoffs or who are seeking better opportunities, we rely on word-of-mouth of friends helping friends and telling job seekers about the KIT List. We now have 58,000 members. It's because of the incredible people on the KIT List that we keep this community going!

This is the monthly reminder to let you know that if the volume of KIT emails is getting too much for your system, here are three options to help you manage them:

1. Direct all KIT emails to a special folder:

Some email systems allow you to create separate folders within your in-box. Create a KIT List folder and then create an email filter that will direct any emails with the word "KIT" in the subject line into that folder.

2. Have your emails grouped into one (or more) KIT email per day:

You can choose "Daily Digest" on your YahooGroups email preferences so that instead of getting individual emails. About twenty individual emails are then combined into one. Depending on the email volume for the day, you may receive more than one digest email.

Go to the KIT List home page on Yahoo Groups at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KITlist-Tech/

Go to the "Edit Membership" link near the top of the page right above the blue bar saying "Sue Connelly's Keep In Touch List." Under Step 2, choose "Daily Digest" in the "Message Delivery" section. Hit the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page, and you should be all set.

3. Stop all KIT emails and view jobs via the Web:

Go to the KIT List home page on Yahoo Groups at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KITlist-Tech/

Go to the "Edit Membership" link near the top of the page right above the blue bar saying "Sue Connelly's Keep In Touch List." Then go under "Message Delivery" and choose "Special Notices." Be sure to choose "Special Notices" since we do occasionally send out important messages from the moderators. Then hit the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.

Technical Skills:

- Responsible for setting up of various database instances for the release test cycles and communicate the same with both offshore and onsite QA team
- Resolve any issues during the Transition cycles like sanity checks and ensure that the transition is smooth for all the test cycles
- Responsible for managing the risks, issues of a deployment cycle, escalating when appropriate and driving the issues to closure

- Responsible for managing a broad, complex portfolio of projects as well as overall business programs that contain multiple projects that require high levels of functional integration, change management, and release management

TITLE: Principal Embedded Engineer/802.11

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client is a public company that provides the latest 802.11 technology. They are looking for energetic and enthusiastic senior level software engineers excited about 802.11 wireless networking, network protocols and embedded systems.

Specific Duties include:
Architecting and implementing 802.11 features and extensions in the driver.
Developing drivers and applications for a variety of embedded operating systems and Company chipsets.
Making optimizations for power and memory footprints on the firmware and host drivers/software.
Low level hardware bring-up and debugging of the firmware and drivers.

REQUIRED SKILS:
BS degree and 9 years of experience, an MS degree and 6 years of experience or a PhD and 3 years of experience.
Experience in application and driver software development on one or more embedded operating systems.
An understanding of networking and preferably 802.11 protocols.
Knowledge of the latest Standards based features is essential.
Strong C programming skills necessary.
Must have strong system software experience.
Direct driver and systems level experience with embedded operating systems such as Linux/Android or Windows is required.
Networking driver experience is required, and knowledge about networking concepts is expected.
Understanding of hardware issues, working with hardware engineers with bus and logic analyzers is mandatory.
Must have knowledge of common industry standard buses, with emphasis on SDIO, SPI, PCI and USB.
Must have mastered OS concepts of: Process, DMA engines, interrupts, Interrupt Handling, Global Interrupt Handling.
Must have experience with Timers, Memory Virtualization, Threads, IPC, user space, race conditions and perimeter locking.
Prior experience with ARM and MIPS architecture is required.

DESIRED SKILLS:
Chip bringup experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge on power saving techniques for embedded devices is desired.

This is a one year contract. The QA Lead plays a key strategic role in supporting all aspects of the Project´s Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The QA Lead participates in the analysis and decision making regarding complex issues including:
- Collect, analyze, track and report metrics as per the measurement plan throughout the life cycle of the project.
- Ensure that software requirements are complete, testable, and properly expressed as functional, non-functional, and interface requirements.
- Ensure that traceability matrix is developed kept up to date.
- Identify automation opportunities for all phases of the project. Implement test automation for most types (if not all) of testing.
- Track the testing status and readiness of the application including data and bridge modules.
- Assist in the development of application test scenarios and scripts to ensure that the business units are prepared to test all aspects the WCIRB´s business processes that are contemplated in scope matrix.
- Assist in the identification of test data required to execute test scripts to ensure that the WCIRB´s business processes are fully and completely tested.
- Assist in developing a testing methodology that maps all test results to the relevant scenario/script and application modules.
- Help triage defects and analyze test results to gauge the overall status of the application.
- Work with track leads to ensure that the data conversion/reconciliation plan is designed and implemented as required to validate that all critical data has been successfully migrated from the Mainframe.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Test plan and strategy to conduct the operational readiness testing of the applications to ensure that the WCIRB´s business units are prepared to transition to production.

Technical Account Manager

Jamcracker's Service Delivery Network (JSDN) is a growing ecosystem that brings together On Demand providers and service providers. The JSDN greatly extends market reach and quickly increases revenues for On Demand providers through a global marketplace from which Service Providers and other service-delivery channels can rapidly source, bundle, re-brand and deliver On Demand services to businesses, consumers, and downstream channel partners.

Position Type:

• Full-time regular

Roles:

• Primary post-sales technical interface between assigned clients and the Jamcracker divisions for the duration of that business relationship
• Supervise complex customer engagements that typically span 3 to 12 months in duration.
• Primary interface to customers across the management ranks as it relates to active projects and overall business relationship.
• Leadership role in coordinating client and Jamcracker teams for resolution of issues during active projects.
• Provide ongoing technical and business leadership for customers and partners with go to market, architecture, design, installation, configuration, and implementation of Jamcracker products and technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain deep knowledge of Jamcracker solutions and related technologies
• Educate the customer on the overall Jamcracker´s approach and process along with managing customer responsibilities within that approach.
• Actively set and manage customer expectations regarding the solution/services provided for active projects.
• Ensuring a consistent understanding of the scope and approach for the proposed solution across Jamcracker functional teams for active projects.
• Oversees the creation, review, and delivery of customer-facing deliverables throughout the engagement lifecycle. Business requirements gathering, priorities assignment and solution definition (in collaboration with Product and Engineering).
• Primary author of project Statements of Work including articulation of expected use cases
• Responsible for managing the Statement of Work and all deliverables of the SOW with the customer.
• Manage client expectations and ensure clear and consistent understanding of the Jamcracker solutions on an ongoing basis
• Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key client personnel
• Define Jamcracker Marketplaces, storefronts and programs for client implementations
• Deliver technical/business presentations and demonstrations to clients and prospects
• Document best practices in deploying Jamcracker solutions
• Responsible for routine engagement account management duties and responsibilities
• Responsible for customer communication and management communication on customer engagements and status in collaboration with Services Project Manager
• Participate in up-sell/cross-sell of Jamcracker solutions and services with customer engagements alongside Jamcracker sales and marketing teams
• Provide 'user experience' and ´functional gap´ feedback to Product Management
• Document and communicate new features/product requirements to product management
• Ensure that client experiences (challenges, successes and concerns) are communicated to Customer Advocacy management in a timely fashion

Requirements:

• 7-15 years experience in relevant industry with relevant experience.
• Degree not necessary – just technical & business savvy
