Build/Release Engineer
Position Summary:
Coupons, Inc. is looking for a talented Build/Release Engineer to develop a continuous build environment. You will work with issue tracking, source control and scripting along with building and packaging of Java applications. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Linux/Unix release engineer, be forward-looking, a proactive problem solver and works well collaboratively with excellent communication skills.
Position Responsibilities:
* Manage the release and daily build processes, ensuring timely execution, repeatability and proper archiving of build artifacts
* Maintain source control and branching
* Work with engineering teams on design of release management planning, product's installation, configuration, and deployment processes
* Create, maintain and manage build and software deployment automation
Position Qualifications:
* Proven years experience as a Linux/Unix release engineer
* Working knowledge of UNIX operating system
* Working knowledge of scripting and/or programming language such as Perl, Python, Korn/bash shell, Java, C++
* Experience with Perforce is a must as well as working knowledge of other SCM tools
* Experience with build technologies: Ant, Maven, Hudson
* Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
* Proven experience developing software build and deployment plan and strategies
* Knowledge of agile SDLC
* Knowledge of software configuration management practices, release management methodologies and production deployment
* Expert in building, packaging and distribution of signed packages written in Java
* Experience with continuous integration systems
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Bachelor degree in IT, CS, or related technical discipline
