[KITlist-Tech] Senior JavaScript Engineer - well-funded, exciting start-up! (Palo Alto, CA)

Our client is a well-funded, exciting start-up that has created an extremely user-friendly, online marketplace. They were founded by industry executives that wanted to improve the way things are bought and sold online. We are looking for a star JavaScript Engineer to join a veteran UI team working to change the face of e-commerce. Our ideal candidate has a passion for clear, performant code and excellent user experiences.

Responsibilities include:
• Work to produce high-quality web products in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
• Meet with the team to shape and prioritize new features.
• Collaborate with server-side engineers to optimize client-server communication.
• Test new releases using automated and manual approaches.

Our ideal candidate has:
• Strong debugging skills
• 3+ years working with web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, DOM, CSS)
• Deep understanding of cross-browser, event-driven UI
• Experience with large, object-oriented JavaScript codebases
• Knowledge of one or more JavaScript frameworks (Prototype, jQuery, YUI, etc)
• Experience with Ruby on Rails
• Computer Science degree or equivalent
