Wind River is looking for a Development Manager to play a leadership role in developing and delivering our Hypervisor products.
The Wind River Hypervisor is a technology that lets customer run multiple operating systems in a virtual environment on their devices, in particular the Wind River Real-Time OS VxWorks and Wind River´s Linux OS. The Hypervisor will be sold in many different configurations and combinations and alignment with the operating system groups at Wind River is essential.
You will be responsible for a team of world-class developers. In your Development Manager role, you will be responsible for:
-Manage development planning
-Manage day-to-day development activities
-Develop and build a team of engineers
-Work with peer development managers to assure optimum resource management
-Coordinate and lead projects together with Wind River Professional Services and partner companies
Job Requirements:
-5 – 10 years development management experience
-Strong mentoring, supervisory and team building skills
-Engineering management skills as demonstrated by experience successfully planning and managing multiple engineering projects; building and leading teams of 10 or more engineers; and directing the design and troubleshooting of complex software and hardware.
-Experience in developing real-time OS software is a big plus
-Demonstrated strength in: planning and organization; verbal and written communications; effectiveness as a team member and leader; drive and perseverance in accomplishing goals; professional integrity; adaptability to new projects; resourcefulness; energy and motivation to initiate and complete tasks; and enthusiasm building expertise in the technology
-Bachelor´s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
