Job Title: Senior Configuration/Release Engineer

Job Description:
Our Sunnyvale, CA client is developing next generation Wi-Fi products for electronics, PCs, Access Points and broadband routers. We are looking for an experienced senior software build and release engineer.
· Analyze and streamline current build and release workflow using CVS and Subversion
· Maintain, automate & enhance the software Subversion-based CM process and tools
· Enhance build & release infrastructure to accelerate turnaround time and provide new services to development team
· Design and automate Linux device driver build
· Set up, configure & administer the necessary infrastructure to support open-source SW development projects and controlled release of sources back to open-source community
· Respond to and resolve emergency build issues
Required Skills:
BSCS (MSCS preferred) or equivalent degree plus a minimum of 7 years of software configuration management, scripting/tools/automation, software build and release experience
Required skills include:
· multi-task/switch working contexts quickly and easily with very little impact to quality of work
· strong analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills, good communication skills: well organized, methodical and detail oriented
· able to demonstrate a good understanding of industry standard software configuration management processes, tools & techniques
· at least 4 years developing and deploying Perl, Python and/or Makefile build infrastructure.
· 3 years deploying and administering open-source or commercial build and release tools such as Tinderbox, Bonzai, Bugzilla, Subversion, Coverity, Clokwork.
· 5 years administrator-level hands-on experience with CVS and/or Subversion is required, preferabley across both Unix and windows platforms
· at least 2 years SCM experience with software for Embedded and Systems consumer products.
· at least 3 years using GNU Make tools and processes, with at least 2 year each using Windows and Linux.
· experience with clustered build infrastructure such as Electric Cloud/Accelerator and build automation tools such as Electric Commander or Hudson are highly desirable
· at least 2 years experience with Linux internals (system configuration, package installation on Fedora and Ubuntu preferred) to analyze and debug unix/linux build infrastructure issues.
· prior knowledge of working with 'Google Android' based CM/build tools & utilities is highly desirable
· 2 years building under embedded RTOS highly desirable
· wireless or telecom industry expereince highly desirable
