DESCRIPTION
This position is located within the Engineering organization at Vigilent. You’ll be a key contributor in ensuring that our next generation of mission-critical, infrastructure applications for energy management in data centers and telecommunications facilities meet the most rigorous standards for reliability and failsafe performance. Expect a fast-paced environment, with an opportunity to make key contributions and inventions that advance the state of the art in energy management and dynamic cooling control.
You will work closely with the engineering development teams as they design and test new code, and with field implementation and support teams as they deploy sophisticated client-server applications at sites that require the highest uptime. You should have a passion for delivering only the most exceptional products that can withstand the most unexpected combination of inputs and environments, as a key component of the world’s communications and data management infrastructure.
You will have responsibility for the design and implementation of QA processes for new system software distributed across servers, desktop clients and the Cloud; and resolving customer-identified issues as they occur. You will interface with the Core and Applications Software engineering teams, Customer Support, Implementation Project Management and Product Marketing.
The position is based in our El Cerrito office. Minimal travel is expected (there may be the occasional need for on-site visits when debugging is required within a customer environment).
