As a result of their ongoing expansion we are seeking a proven technical solution architect with recent experience with some data-related offerings in one of the areas of data management, data integration, data warehouse, data replication, analytics, business intelligence, etc. for this great opportunity:
Position title: Professional Services Consultant
Location: Southern California
Position description:
In this role the Professional Services Consultant will provide architectural reviews for customers and partners. Provide support and mentoring to customer and sales teams designing complex data warehouse and master data management replication solutions for RDBMS and non-RDBMS environments. Document the review goals, results, and architecture change recommendations for customer and account team reference. Design tools and utilities for automated application health-check reviews. Author technical white papers, self-paced training media, support notes, and blog articles related to the product suite.
Develop and facilitate product workshops for field personnel. Prepare and publish best practices documentation, mentor junior personnel assigned to the services organization, develop Java based automation tools and database server specific scripts. Provide on-demand support to the services organization for customer migrations, proof of concept projects, and architectural review of product implementations.
Additional duties could include project management for customer implementations. Manage all aspects of the implementation project to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints, mentor customer personnel, work with customer database analysts on the design of complex master data management service oriented replication solutions and best practices, architect the product installation, prepare and publish implementation plans and post implementation configuration documentation.
Prepare and publish best practices documentation, mentor junior personnel assigned to the services organization and QA, develop automation tools and scripts, facilitate Replicate training courses at both customer and corporate locations.
Required skills and experience:
5-7+ years technical experience with a software or consulting organization in the realm of data management, data integration, data warehouse, and/or data replication.
Strong database and SQL technical skills
Must be experienced in post-sales support and project management skills related customer interaction activities such as implementation, customization, integration and training.
Experience preferred in a smaller/professional services company.
Strong and professional customer facing skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. MS is a plus.
Travel is required(approximate 40-50%). Ability to commute to a Long Beach customer site if needed.
Candidates of interest to us are those that will come from an architect, consultant, or system engineer position and have experience with companies such as Oracle/Fusion Middleware, Informatica, Greenplum, Netezza, GoldenGate, Teradata, Vertica, etc. or others in the related space.
