System Administrator needed for a long term direct client project. Client is stable and growing.
** Local candidates with Local Experience preferred due to in person interviewing. (Local = San Francisco Bay Area) **
We are looking for an experienced System Administrator with strong experience in cloud technologies who is looking to improve and advance in this area. The selected individual will join the Datacenter Operations team managing engineering environments that are heavily virtualized. He/she will interface with all levels of the engineering organization to create solutions that will support rapid growth of the company.
The Datacenter Operations team is responsible for all aspects of infrastructure including lab/rack, networking, cloud, services and automation that is leveraged by client's engineering organization. We are focused on enhancing efficiency through automation and deployment of self-service tools and solutions. The environments we manage and touch are primarily Linux based.
Responsibilities:
-Support production infrastructure running various hypervisors (VMware, Openstack, others...)
-Work with team members to automate support tasks
-File and triage support issues affecting engineering test and production environments
-Participate in change events and respond to incidences
-Design, build/deploy and manage solutions that enhance engineering productivity
Skills Qualifications:
-VMware Enterprise product (vsphere, vcenter, esx) knowledge required
-Scripting experience in bash and python required
-Networking and subnet knowledge required
-AWS knowledge and experience desirable
-Dockers knowledge and experience desirable
-Openstack experience desirable
