 The FarmMap cloud leverages multiple data sources to drive precise recommendations that drive productivity gains while reducing costs-thus providing data for growers so they can make the best decisions and achieve the best results.


 The hardware for this major development is comprised of wireless radio PCB's and sensor interfaces using surface mounted components and mechanical enclosures that use plastic and PVC piping to ensure they are waterproof to IP68.

 We seek a seasoned Electro Mechanical Technician with strong experience to be the key build rework technician for the R&D team.


 Responsibilities include: 


 • Building prototype hardware that can handle rugged in farm environments including electrical and light mechanical jobs.


 •Reworking and rewiring of engineering prototype PCB's


 •Soldering and reworking surface mount components on PCBs.


 •Light mechanical assembly with enclosures, mechanical brackets and plastic piping team.


 •Debugging electronic PCBs and perform rack and stack proto testing a plus.


 •Occasional trip to California farms may be required.

 FarmX is an established startup in the San Francisco Bay Area. 


 We are a multi-disciplinary engineering team with experience in plant physiology, soil chemistry, satellite image processing, machine learning, Cloud SaaS software, low-power-embedded systems, and wireless technology.


 The job is a full-time job located in our Redwood City lab, a five minute walk from the Cal train city and nearby restaurants.
