Director, Analyst Relations, Hewlett Packard Enterprise
This role has been designated as 'Edge', which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.


Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) seeks a proven, strategic individual to lead industry analyst relations at HPE.

Part of the HPE Global Communications team, the Director, Analyst Relations, will lead all aspects of industry analyst and independent analyst relations, worldwide, for HPE. He or she will advocate and educate analysts on HPE's strategy and business model transformation, and gain insights and counsel from the broad spectrum of analysts, to sharpen business strategy, roadmaps, and GTM. This leader will partner with Marketing, Business Group leadership, the office of the CTO, and the HPE Executive Committee to design and execute the Analyst Relations strategy, and advance HPE's business, product, innovation, and category leadership initiatives.

The ideal candidate must have experience leading an AR team and a proven track record of generating results and business impact. He or she should have a strong understanding of company strategy, industry trends, and competitors, and the role industry analysts and independent analysts play in serving their clients, and their influence in the technology markets. This leader should be capable of driving both the strategic and the tactical – to advocate the company POV and position, and project manage key initiatives. This leader should be an excellent written and oral communicator.

Responsibilities include:

- Strategy: set and execute the global industry analyst and independent analyst strategy for HPE.
- Corporate analyst relations: drive engagement with lead analysts on HPE at the tier one analyst firms, build programs to represent the pan-HPE strategy and innovation agenda with analysts, and manage reports and interactions with analysts focused on the overall HPE story. Manage tier-one analyst events like industry analyst summits.
- Product analyst relations: manage product / business group analyst relations team, reviewing and advising team on AR strategy for each business area, and engaging on key projects like Gartner Magic Quadrants.
- International / regional analyst relations: manage and lead the analyst relations teams across all regions, globally.
- Independent analyst program: lead strategy and program for engaging with independent analysts, including the HPE Independent Analyst Council.
- Market share / category management: partner with HPE senior leadership, Marketing, and Market Intelligence teams to manage market share and category management with industry analyst firms.
- Measurement: manage and evolve analyst relations measurement program for HPE – to leverage as information / insights tool for senior management, and set objectives for analyst relations program.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate:

- Leadership: proven ability to establish trusted relationships at the senior-executive level and collaborate with multiple partners and stakeholders, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and lead and inspire their teams. Present compelling plans and develop consensus around a particular point of view.
- Business acumen: understand HPE strategy, business group strategy, and innovation roadmap, and the role differentiated technology and solutions can play in driving business results for a technology vendor. Understand how to tie HPE solutions and offerings to business benefits, solutions, and outcomes for HPE's customers.
- Communications: proven ability to advocate a particular POV, backed by data and facts, to internal and external stakeholders. For internal communications, ability to read analyst research and succinctly summarize key relevant points for senior management. Also, be able to connect analyst relations results to company strategy, and articulate the role analyst relations plays in achieving various outcomes.
- Social media: leverages social media to gain insights into trends and the POV of analysts and influencers, and actively engages on social media to advocate for HPE and share news and compelling content (i.e., Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social platforms).

The ideal candidate has:

- A Bachelor's degree and at least ten to fifteen years of analyst relations experience, preferably at fast-paced, high-tech companies.
