The Lead Mobile Software Architect position will play a key role in defining the direction and scope of development for the handset component of our solution and will
be responsible for:
• Defining the company's cross-platform mobile software architecture
• Working with focused development teams to implement the solution
• Mentoring the team and building internal mobile expertise, and
• Working with the server-side architects and product managers to ensure a cohesive
end-to-end solution.
Experience in developing and commercializing mobile systems and services is essential.
The ability and desire to roll up your sleeves and contribute directly is a must.
Requirements
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 6-10 years experience in handset development, with mobile media player
architecture experience
• Knowledge and experience in mobile network protocols and programming in 2G and
3G environments
• iPhone, Android, and/or BlackBerry expertise
• Deep programming experience on multi-threaded, resource-constrained devices
• Excellent architecture and design skills, including use of design patterns and UML
• Knowledge of industry standards and protocols relevant to the mobile space,
including DVB-H, OMA, and XML
• Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
• Self-starter - Ability to take on multiple tasks and roles
