Our client in Vacaville, CA, is seeking a technical consultant who is experienced in Microsoft technologies to perform IT Project Management and Microsoft Windows hardware and operating system support functions. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to, the following:
* Provide technical support and detailed analysis of user requirements to test, diagnose and resolve production system problems
* Work with the team to plan, deploy, and maintain new and existing infrastructure, platforms, and applications
* Produce detailed system documentation and develop applicable documentation and project plans with detailed tasks as required by management.
* Provide day-to-day technical assistance in resolving IT systems production problems
The tasks for the Systems Engineer include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Technical lead for business application server migration
* Technical resource for the Windows 2008 upgrade and Core Server Replacement Project
* Technical support for Microsoft Active Directory and Active Directly Redesign project
* Provide technical support for Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 platforms
* Technical resource for Microsoft Hyper-V implementation project
* Provide technical support for 1200+ Dell hardware and operating systems on application servers
* Technical resource for the Input Accel Upgrade and Dispatcher project
* Technical resource for Microsoft SCOM R2 & StateFundCA.com Load Balancing Design projects
* Technical resource for planning, implementation and deployment of the Virtual Desktop project
* Provide Tier 2 support to IT service desk, regional office systems administrators, and other IT technical support teams and liaisons
* Technical resource and support for VMWare infrastructure
* Technical Resource for implementing DNS Configuration for Server Load Balancing, Applications Data Move off File Servers, Disaster Recovery BASS servers, and Standardization of the file server permissions
* Technical Lead for the Separation of Non-Production Environment from the Production Environment
* Technical Resource for troubleshooting Active Directory, Distributed File System [DFS], Group Policy Administration, and Adobe Connect Pro LDAP and Terminal Services
* Technical Resource for implementation of Group Policy Management Tool
* Technical Resource for integration of Apple MAC with Active Directory
* Technical Resource for implementing Quest/Netpro for active delivery, for Disaster Recovery of CORE and BASS server infrastructure, support of Exchange application, servers, and mail flow.
* Technical Resources for upgrading, configuring and administering ConfigureSoft eCM/vCM
The Systems Engineer should possess most of the following technical knowledge and experience:
* Current knowledge of trends in IT and experience developing new technologies
* 3+ years of hands-on experience in the Information Technology industry
* In-depth expertise in a broad variety of Microsoft systems to include but not limited to: Window 2003, Windows2008, Active Directory, Hyper-V, SCOM R2
MCSE certification in Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 platforms
* Experienced in supporting Windows server hardware and operating systems in an enterprise environment to include Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and File Replication components
* In-depth expertise in a variety of systems to include, but not limited to: Input Accel, and Dispatcher for Input Accel, Adobe Connect Pro LDAP and Terminal Services, VMware, AppleMac, Quest/Netpro for active delivery.
* Experience completing projects with minimal supervision
* Exposure to multi-tiered development tools and methodologies
* Experience providing on-site and remote support to Regional and Home Office Microsoft servers in a medium sized corporate infrastructure.
* Ability to provide in-depth analysis in greater scope and detail than the other staff members
* Experience supporting the Microsoft Windows Servers and infrastructure (Active Directory, Domain Policies, Domain Structure and changes) for applications used by staff in district offices, Claims Processing Centers, Call Centers, and support departments
* Experience diagnosing and repairing production, development and testing servers' problems
Strong background, experience, and knowledge in project management practices and ability to document process and procedures
