Our client is a fab-less semiconductor startup located in Fremont. The are developing wireless chipsets which will facilitate delivery of HDTV and other multimedia services over standard WiFi Networks. They are seeking to fill a Senior Lead position in Shanghai, China.
This role requires a Senior Embedded Engineer, someone who is willing to relocate to Shanghai (or temporary is OK) to grow and manage a team of local embedded software engineers. Requires strong motivation, WiFi and Linux kernel experience and some team leading experience. Sould be a senior level candidate with strong communication skills and leadership experience.
Specific Duties include:
Design high performance, modular, customizable, and reliable software architecture for video over WiFi applications.
Develop and implement algorithms for 802.11 MIMO PHY, Baseband and MAC.
Develop core components of firmware, device driver and applications.
Lead a team of Embedded Software Engineers in Shanghai.
Required Skills:
Senior staff engineer: requires > 5 years, with MS
Relevant firmware or embedded software development and debugging experience is required.
Experience with 802.11 a/b/g/n product development is required.
Experience with Linux kernel and network device driver development is required.
Knowledge of TCP/IP is required.
Experience with IPTV or video streaming product development is preferred.
Team leadership skills required.
Strong communication skills required
