Wind River Systems, the company that created the operating system used on the Mars Rovers and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, is looking to fill a Senior Manager position to lead the safe and secure product test teams. Wind River develops products for the safe and secure markets, including aerospace and defense, military and industrial, as well as transportation and medical. Wind River is adopting the Agile development methodology across all its product development lifecycle and promoting continuous integration and testing. This position requires proven skills in safe and secure software development and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Requirements:
5-8+ years managing software development and test
BSEE/BSCS or equivalent experience
Understand and work in an agile development environment
Experience with Python development.
Experience managing the testing of a safety-oriented software product
Experience with software safety certification standards such as IEC 61508, DO-178 or similar
Experience testing an embedded RTOS or Hypervisor
General experience with kernel design and philosophy, as well as user-space design and philosophy
General experiences in virtualization Host and target , including open Stack, KVM, hypervisor.
Experience with change management/source code control
Experience with C development an asset
Highly organized, detail-oriented, possessing a high level of integrity, and highly motivated
Experience with VxWorks an asset
Experience with Linux development an asset
