Project Manager needed for long term project work for Fortune 500 Client Company.
Client Company is stable, public, and growing.
**Due to the nature of the interview process, local candidates with local experience only please (Local = San Francisco Bay Area)
PM Responsibilities:
-Create maintain overall project plan in partnership with IT to balance business needs with allocated resources.
-Manage and drive the Internet Search implementation projects collaboratively with IT and other teams
-Maintain project plans, status reports, and other needed project documentation with help from analysts.
-Manages the project from start to completion including the resolution of escalated project issues.
-Partner with IT to set up and run Internet Search project management office with stakeholders from other organizations.
-Interface with other organizations to gather project and roadmap requirements and provide aggregate search requirements.
-Advanced negotiation, communication and presentation skills
Skills needed:
-Ability to collaborate in a dynamic cross-functional organization and influence other teams in executing Client's overall business needs.
-Experience project managing internal search projects from a business side perspective.
-Strong project management, follow-through, and decision-making skills within complex organizational relationships.
-Ability to multi-task, gain consensus and complete projects accurately and on time.
-Understanding of Enterprise search technology and best practices
-Strong communication and listening skills, a thorough approach to complex problem solving, decision-making ability, and a high motivation towards progressing ahead.
-Creative, innovative, and attentive to details.
-Exceptional communication and influence skills, as well as experience educating others on social media best practices.
-Ability to listen, establish relationships, gain consensus, rapidly establish credibility with and gain confidence of multiple areas across different organizations
-Experience with FAST or Attivio Search engine is a plus.
-Excellent communication skills
